DOLCE & GABBANA | G-DRAGON Chooses the Brand Once Again — Two Looks Steal the Spotlight

At this year's Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), G-DRAGON made a powerful comeback with his return album Übermensch, sweeping four awards: Best Male Artist, Artist of the Year, Best Dance Performance (Solo) Male, and Fan Choice Male Artist TOP10 — reaffirming his undeniable influence. Taking the stage at this pinnacle of honor, he once again chose Dolce & Gabbana eveningwear, seamlessly connecting his musical achievements with his fashion statement and lending even greater symbolic weight to his return.

The Look 61 — On awards night, GD took the stage in LOOK 61 from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2024 Menswear Collection — a black velvet dinner suit whose wide-peak lapels caught the stage lights with a refined sheen. Understated yet precisely proportioned, the look embodied the brand's signature Italian opulence.

Accepting the Best Male Artist award, he styled the jacket with a pale pink button-down shirt, a matching rose brooch, and a half-open collar revealing layered necklaces beneath. An oversized brown Russian fur hat, nearly covering his entire face, added an air of mystery while accentuating his side profile under the lights — leaving fans breathless.

For the Artist of the Year presentation, GD retained the same jacket but shifted to a more subdued, understated inner styling. For his final appearance, he emerged in an all-black look — a black crew-neck top beneath the jacket, a black ribbon pinned to his chest in tribute to victims of the Hong Kong fire, and simple black-frame sunglasses with amber lenses. The quiet refinement still read as effortlessly high fashion. Through these subtle shifts, the two looks created a striking contrast in mood and visual impact, showcasing GD's masterful command of detail and style.

SLEEK Collection — The Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2024 Menswear Collection centers on the theme of "Sleek," focusing on timeless Italian elegance, impeccable tailoring, and refined construction. The collection emphasizes clean geometric lines and structured suiting, with black as its core vocabulary — celebrating the artistry of handcraftsmanship (Fatto A Mano) to express a restrained yet modern masculinity rooted in classic style.

From his musical comeback to his sartorial choices, G-DRAGON perfectly interpreted Dolce & Gabbana's redefinition of contemporary male elegance through pure tailoring and luxurious materials. This was more than a stage outfit — it was a precise dialogue about style, craft, and personal conviction, reflecting the deep and consistent aesthetic language shared between artist and brand.
