About CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN
Christian Louboutin grew up in Paris and has been passionate about high heels since his teenage years. He began his career at Charles Jourdan and later freelanced for Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Roger Vivier. In 1992, Mr. Louboutin opened his first store in Paris. His handcrafted red-soled shoes quickly gained favor with Hollywood actresses and Parisian fashion elites.
The inspiration for the red soles came from Pensée: Pensée is a sketch that Christian created, inspired by Andy Warhol's pop art. On one occasion, he casually applied this bright, glossy red paint to the soles of the shoes. Since then, the glossy red soles have become his iconic trademark. In recent years, the brand has devoted itself to elevating both the comfort and diversity of its footwear—so that everyone may stride toward happiness in red soles, a timeless symbol of good fortune.
